Mike Jerrick re-joined the FOX 29 News team as co-host of “Good Day Philadelphia” in July 2009. Long-time viewers will remember him as a show co-host from 1999 to 2002.

Prior to his return to Philadelphia, Mike was co-host of “The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet,” which aired on FOX television stations around the country.

Prior to that, he was the co-host of “DaySide,” Fox News Channel’s daily live audience daytime talk show, and he appeared as a recurring guest co-anchor for the WNYW-FOX 5 morning program, “Good Day New York.” Mike joined FOX News Channel as weekend co-host of “FOX and Friends” after leaving “Good Day Philadelphia” in October 2002.

Before coming to FOX 29, Mike was managing editor and anchor on “America Afterhours,” a live, national newsmaker and celebrity interview program on CNBC. He also hosted “What’s News” for the national cable television network America’s Talking.
Earlier in his career, Mike hosted “Sci-Fi Buzz” on USA Network’s Sci-Fi Channel from 1991 to 1997. He also produced and hosted HBO’s “World Entertainment Report” from 1991 to 1994. He produced and reported for KCAL-TV and for “Evening Magazine” on KPIX-TV (CBS) in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Prior to that, he spent five years as the host of “Alive & Well,” a national program on the USA Network that focused on health and fitness. He began his career in 1981 as the producer and host of “P.M. Magazine,” at WNYW-TV in New York.

A ten-time Emmy Award winner, Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas.

Joe Leonard is a local Philadelphia rower and rowing enthusiast. After rowing for four years at Philadelphia’s St. Joseph’s Prep, Joe briefly walked onto the Syracuse Men’s Rowing team before pursuing other interests. Since 2017, Joe has provided commentary for regattas such as the Dad Vail Regatta, the Stotesbury Cup Regatta, Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association’s City Championship, among others.

Mark Valenti is a rowing coach and advocate whose influence on the Philadelphia rowing community spans over six decades. His journey began in the spring of 1962 on the Schuylkill River under legendary coaches Chuck Colgan and George Hines, initiating a lifelong commitment to the sport.

While he describes his competitive career as modest, Valenti found his true calling in coaching and regatta logistics. Over 40 years, he has coached scholastic, collegiate, masters, and club programs, including Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. He also served as a USRowing Licensed Judge/Referee, managing events ranging from junior regattas to Olympic trials.

A key figure at La Salle University and its Explorer Club, Valenti was honored with the John A. Seitz Award in 2006 for his dedication to the Dad Vail Regatta. Beyond the water, he is a historian of the sport, producing content on the Stotesbury Cup Regatta. Based in Abington, PA, his legacy continues through the countless athletes he has mentored.

Coral is a 2-time World Champion coxswain for the U.S. in the Beach Sprint coxed quad. She was recently voted USRowing’s 2025 Female Athlete of the Year on the Beach Sprint Team. In total, she’s earned a seat on 4 U.S. Senior National teams. Along with 2 gold medals at the Beach Sprint World Championships, Coral has achieved a semi-finalist finish in the Remenham Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta with the U.S. women, a second place finish in the HOCR Champ Women’s 8+ with the U.S. women (lost to the Great 8), a HOCR win and several HOCR medals with New York AC, along with 3 Royal Canadian Henley gold medals in the Men’s 8+. She started her rowing journey as a walk-on at UC Santa Barbara over 15 years ago and is now training out of Penn AC in Philly. Outside of training, Coral is mental performance student-athlete mentor for Be Brave. She received her PhD in gene therapy from Penn and is currently working as a scientist.
